My story

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by how the body moves.

Before transitioning into teaching and neuromuscular education, I spent years as a professional dancer. Over time, the physical demands of that life, combined with scoliosis, hypermobility, and a lack of proper conditioning to support what I was doing, I experienced chronic pain, fatigue, and frustration. My own experience of feeling disconnected from my body is what ultimately sparked my deep curiosity about how movement and the nervous system work together.

Through years of study and personal exploration from Pilates, applied neurology, and energy work - I discovered that movement isn’t just physical. It’s deeply connected to the brain, the nervous system, and the way we experience life. When the brain feels safe, the body moves with freedom, strength, and ease. When it doesn’t, no amount of stretching, strengthening, or forcing will create lasting change.

Today, I work 1:1 at Mbody physiotherapy clinic with clients aged 20 to 90, supporting them in performance improvement, injury prevention, and injury recovery. I’ve worked with a wide range of cases. From hip replacements and arthritis to knee and back pain, as well as neurological clients with spinal cord injuries and MS. My sessions combine neuro-based movement, and targeted conditioning & Pilates exercises to help people reconnect with their natural capacity to move and heal.

I’m also a partner at Movement Arts Method, where we bring brain-based strategies to dancers and educators through virtual classes and workshops in Toronto and abroad. The same principles that help performers reach their potential also benefit anyone with a brain.

My approach blends science with intuition, integrating neuroscience, movement, and embodied awareness to help people retrain their brain-body connection, release patterns of tension, and restore natural movement. Whether you’re recovering from pain, rebuilding confidence in your body, or simply wanting to move through life with more clarity and ease, my work is about helping you trust your body’s intelligence again.

When you move better, you think clearer, feel better, and open up to more of what’s possible.
